Quick on the Scene: Glee Season 2 Updates from Showrunner Ryan Murphy and Some Others

In Ryan Murphy's recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, he talks about some of the things to expect from sophomore season of breakout new show, Glee.
on Kurt Hummel's Boyfriend:
"I just want him to be an everyday dude, and I want him to be sort of struggling (with his sexuality) and Kurt helps him deal with it and in the process they fall for each other."
on Musical Tributes a la the Madonna Episode:
"The Madonna episode was so popular, I think I'm gonna do two tribute episodes - one in the fall and one in the spring - and we're figuring out who those artists are."

More juicy quotes and news about Glee after the jump!

From what I gather, there's been rumors that the show will be doing a Britney Spears Tribute Episode, which wouldn't be a great departure from the episode tributes they've already done. So far they've had a Madonna episode (and wasn't there a news blast about doing another one? They barely made a dent to the full catalog of the Queen of Pop), and there was the Lady Gaga episode. Oh, and the season finale of the next season is supposedly the Nationals.

And while Jonathan Groff is busy with his West End Play, when presumably the second season's first episodes get filmed, we will have more of April Rhodes, played by another Broadway star, Kristin Chenoweth. In an interview with Crushable, she clues us in on what April will be doing:
The only dirt I have is that Matthew Morrison is the love of my life, dang it...oh, I love him.
Well, that's not a lot to work with! But, we're still excited, 'cause she's rocked every episode she's been in. Having said that, we seriously want more of Jonathan Groff! (The producers have said that they'd want him back too, as with Idina Menzel. But, as with anything with, we'll only believe it, once they start filming them!) Have you seen Groff's and Vocal Adrenaline's Bohemian Rhapsody? Damn.

To those who didn't get to watch it, here's the recording of it posted on YouTube:

And if that's not enough, then the only recourse is to buy some of their merchandise, get a copy of those cast recordings, and maybe catch them on their tour in United States. Whoa! These guys/girls are seriously busy!

EDIT: Of course about another addition to the cast that for some reason I forgot to add is John Stamos! Brad Falchuk, executive producer of the show, confirmed the news with Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online. He'll play the dentist-slash-lover of Jayma May's character, Emma. She did mention in the finale that she was dating her dentist.
Are you buying any of the stuff on sale? Or were you able to grab yourself a ticket to one of their concerts?
