Rewind and Review: The Jenna Thing Got More Intruiguing

Photo by Jaime Trueblood/Disney Enterprises (via IMDB.com)
In the little town of the Pretty Little Liars, we have a teenager exploring her urges to be with another girl, a sister who can't stop herself from getting a taste of what big sis has, a daughter who fucked (in both the literal and figurative sense) with her mother's life, and a student who has the hots for her English teacher. And we haven't reached the tip of the iceberg just yet!
Let's rewind and review what just happened, and what remains a mystery.

Dexter's Back in the House

(Photo from IMDB.com)

According to the interview done by the people at E! Online, production for Dexter's fifth season has started. Jennifer Carpenter, who plays Deb Morgan and real life wife of Michael C. Hall, shares her thoughts about their first day back:
We've had our first read through and people will be pleasantly surprised. We read the first episode, and it doesn't feel like a job anymore. It's just really exciting.
And of course, the most important question is if her husband is well now. For all those who don't know yet, Hall had a bout with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and underwent treatment for the said cancer.
We've said it over and over that he's in complete remission just so people will stop worrying, but still people come up to him asking, "Are you okay?"

Mortal Kombat Again?

While this isn't really TV and the clip has made its rounds in the intarwebz, the past day or two, I just had to post all its awesome-ness on the site!

From what I've read, it's a short film made by director Kevin Tanchareon to pitch for another Mortal Kombat movie. Well, that's according to Jeri Ryan, who tweeted some info about the clip. Aside from Ryan, the clip does have other legit actors in it, like Michael Jai White aka Spawn. They play Sonia Blade and Jax, respectively. It looks awesome, and while it does take some liberties in the mythology of the video game characters, I'll let it slip, since the source material isn't even that deep. Mortal Kombat gained its popularity because of its gore, and the finishing moves, where the game's the voice instructs the player to, "Finish him!" and this short clip captures that quality of Mortal Kombat that previous movie and television adaptations missed. Maybe with the clip making rounds, Warner Brothers would decide to green light this.

Hope you guys enjoy watching it!

In Ryan Murphy's recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, he talks about some of the things to expect from sophomore season of breakout new show, Glee.
on Kurt Hummel's Boyfriend:
"I just want him to be an everyday dude, and I want him to be sort of struggling (with his sexuality) and Kurt helps him deal with it and in the process they fall for each other."
on Musical Tributes a la the Madonna Episode:
"The Madonna episode was so popular, I think I'm gonna do two tribute episodes - one in the fall and one in the spring - and we're figuring out who those artists are."

Eavesdropper: We Like the Pretty Little Liars Pilot

H: Are we seriously watching another teeny bopper show?
D: But this one's suppose to be really GOOD!
H: That's what you said, when you duped me into watching that effed up remake of Melrose Place.
D: OMG! You didn't just say that. I'm still mourning that show. Shut up! It's starting.
And as they say, the rest was history? Anyway, Dovey was able to lure me into watching this show from ABC Family. The only other show I followed for a short time in that network was GREEK, which was not that bad at all. And this new show from them is not that bad at all! It must be because I had such low expectations.

Prepping for the Glee Finale

It's time for show choir powerhouse Vocal Adrenaline to face upstart New Directions in the Regionals! Who will win? What is Sue up to? The full version of the songs were leaked already (I haven't heard the full versions yet), but I'm pretty sure, we should expect some amazing performances from the cast. Here's the promo clip for tomorrow's episode:

Why we should be excited for this finale after the cut!
